These terms apply when you use our websites: vldbsolutions.com, vldb.uk (blog), dbask.ai and sovereigndb.com (together, "the Sites").

The Sites are run by VLDB Solutions Limited ("VLDB Solutions", "we", "us", "our"), a company registered in England and Wales (company number 06680502). Our registered office is The Plaza, 100 Old Hall Street, Liverpool, England, L3 9QJ. You can contact us at info@vldbsolutions.com.

DBAsk and SovereignDB are products offered by VLDB Solutions. dbask.ai and sovereigndb.com are their product sites.

By using a Site you agree to these terms. Our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy also apply. If you do not agree, please do not use the Sites.

The Sites are aimed at businesses. If you are a consumer, nothing in these terms takes away your legal rights.

You may use the Sites for lawful purposes only. You must not:

• break any law or regulation
• send us spam, or unsolicited or unauthorised advertising
• introduce viruses or other harmful material
• try to get unauthorised access to a Site, the servers it runs on, or any related system
• copy or republish large parts of a Site by automated means without our written permission
• do anything that could damage, overload or impair a Site

If you find a security problem, please tell us at info@vldbsolutions.com rather than testing it further.

Everything on the Sites belongs to VLDB Solutions Limited or its licensors and is protected by UK and international copyright and other laws. That includes text, graphics, logos, icons, images, diagrams, and the DBAsk, SovereignDB and VLDB names and logos.

You may view the Sites and share links to them. You may quote a short extract from a blog post if you credit VLDB and link to the post. Otherwise you may not copy, distribute, adapt or republish our content without our written permission.

The Sites give general information about VLDB Solutions, our products and the subjects we work in. It is not professional, legal, financial or technical advice for your situation. We try to keep it accurate and up to date, but we do not promise that it is complete, accurate or current. You rely on it at your own risk.

Blog posts are the views of their authors on the day they were published. Some are many years old, and the products and technologies they describe may have changed. Check before you act on a post, especially a technical one.

Any benchmark, cost or performance figure on the Sites was true under the conditions stated beside it. Your results will vary.

The Sites describe our services (including DBAaaS and data engineering) and our products (including DBAsk and SovereignDB). Nothing on a Site is a binding offer, quote or contract. Any prices shown are indicative only.

We supply services and products only under a separate written agreement with you. That agreement sets out what you get, what you pay and who is responsible for what. If it conflicts with these terms or with anything on a Site, the written agreement wins.

Asking for a demo, a quote or a call does not commit either of us to anything.

When you send us an enquiry or demo request, the details you give must be accurate and you must be allowed to share them. We use them as described in our Privacy Policy.

Where a Site lets you post comments, you are responsible for what you post. Do not post anything unlawful, abusive, misleading or spammy, or anything that infringes someone else's rights. Comments are public. By posting one, you give us a free, non-exclusive licence to show it on the Site. We may edit, hold back or remove any comment, and we do not have to publish it.

The Sites link to other websites and services, including videos, partner and technology vendor sites, and our other Sites. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, availability or privacy practices. A link is not an endorsement.

Names such as Teradata, Greenplum, PostgreSQL, EDB, Oracle, Microsoft, AWS and Azure belong to their owners. We use them only to describe the technologies we work with. That does not mean those companies endorse us or are connected to us, unless we say so.

We aim to keep the Sites available, but we do not promise they will always be available or free of errors. We may change, suspend or remove any part of a Site at any time without notice.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot be limited or excluded under English law.

Subject to that, and as far as the law allows, we are not liable for any loss or damage, whether direct, indirect, consequential or incidental, and including loss of profit, data or business, that comes from your use of a Site or its content, or from not being able to use it. The Sites and their content are provided "as is".

These terms cover use of the Sites only. Our liability for any services or products we supply to you is set out in your written agreement.

These terms, and any dispute or claim connected with them or with the Sites (including non-contractual disputes), are governed by the law of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction. This does not affect any right you have as a consumer to bring a claim in the courts of the part of the UK where you live.

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we change the "last updated" date at the top. Using a Site after a change means you accept the new terms.
